In a world where oversharing is the norm, being mysterious can be a refreshing change. By embracing an air of mystery, you can create an aura of intrigue that draws people in. Here are some tips to help you become a mysterious person:
1. The Power of Silence
Stop talking so much. Not just to strangers, but also to friends and family members. Listen more than you speak, and only share information on a need-to-know basis.
2. Guard Your Privacy
Don't answer your door. Only talk with people through the door. This will create a sense of distance and make people wonder about you.
3. Move Under the Cover of Darkness
Only enter and leave your residence at night or when it's still dark outside. This will make it difficult for people to track your movements.
4. Go Off the Grid
Never use your cell phone in public. This will make it hard for people to contact you or track your location.
5. Keep a Low Profile
Park your car inside your garage (if you have one) and exit the vehicle inside the garage. This will prevent people from seeing you come and go.
6. Cash is King
Start making your payments in cash. No checks or cards. This will create a paper trail that's difficult to follow.
7. Stay Vigilant
Look around frequently when you're outside. Change your direction of travel frequently and constantly keep an eye out for potential "tails."
8. Take Privacy Seriously
Take what may be considered an excessive attitude about your personal privacy. Make people work to get to know you.
An interesting read offering much about which to think. I do some of what you suggest already but for different reasons, mostly because I am anthropophobic. At the same time, I can't but wonder if this isn't simply moving to the opposite extreme of over-sharing. (I mean no disrespect to your thoughts.) I wonder, what effects either of these opposites have on our ability to make real connections, take advantage of serendipitous opportunities and/or affect our mental attitudes to others.
On a perhaps lesser level, there seems to be a contradiction between what seems to be a menu for becoming known yet also as a menu for being anonymous. I admit, perhaps I misunderstand in some way but that's how it strikes me.
Take care. Stay safe. ☮️
